South Minneapolis Sidewalk and Retaining Wall
The previous back yard featured a gradual slope towards the back alley. Miscellaneous pavers were used to create a sidewalk and driveway area along the garage.
We removed the pavers and regraded the backyard to create a flat area behind the home.
A new paver sidewalk was installed with locking sand to create an updated pathway towards the back alley.
We installed a retaining wall with drainage along with steps to allow better access to the street level.
New grass was added to fill in the graded yard.
York
Apartment complex owners wanted more landscaping surrounding their walkways. The previous area was grass that wasn’t growing well. This was due to foot traffic and being in a shaded area.
We tore out the grassy area, and replaced it with a protective barrier and edging.
On top, we mulched the area and incorporated shade tolerant plants.
Erosion Control
Our customer was having erosion problems from a drain pipe attached to their home.
We installed a lowered erosion control rock barrier using smaller (4-6″) field granite to allow water to drain onto the stone barrier and avoid soil erosion around the base of the home.
Beldon Retaining Wall
The previous retaining wall was old railroad ties that were rotting. Our client wanted something more permanent so we decided to replace the wood with a dry stack retaining wall.
The retaining wall consists of two levels that we regraded to make more level. The wall wraps around the entire backyard and slopes down to both sides of their side yards.
Stone steps were added in the backyard to offer easier access to the different levels.

Trees were added into various areas of the yard and surrounded by mulch borders. To complete the project, sod was added to the whole yard area.
St Louis Park, MN - Stone Steps
The client had a steep slope up to their front steps and wanted something more aesthetically pleasing.
Previously, they had concrete steps, iron railings, and wood railroad ties as a border retaining wall. They wanted new steps and retaining walls that would match the exterior of their home better.
We tore out the existing retaining walls and steps and added a block retaining wall and stone steps. Near the top step area, we extended the stone steps for easier access getting in and out of the home.

Finally, we installed accessible doors near the bottom of the grill area.
Lawn Mowing, Trimming, and Blowing
This is an example of one of the commercial companies we provide lawn services for.
We start by mowing all grass areas.
Then we trim the edges and areas that need extra care.
We finish by blowing all the grass clippings off of the sidewalks and pavement areas for a cleaner look.
Thao Retaining Wall and Pavers
The client wanted the retaining wall, steps, and additional parking space in front of their home. We began by tearing out the existing steps and retaining walls. In order to add additional parking space, we needed to remove the dirt area in front of their home.
Quarter turn steps were added to accommodate the new parking area. The retaining wall was divided into two levels to give the homeowner the option of adding plants.
Landing areas were added into the design of the steps and sod was planted to finish off the project.
Target Native Landscape Install
We replaced bushes and trees that were dying or overgrown at the Target store.
These plants were replaced by native plants. We added additional native plants in areas that were lacking dimension and design.
Finally, new mulch was added to all the plant bed areas.
Stonehill Mulch Install
Existing mulch areas were given an update by replacing the old mulch with newer cedar mulch.
Since the tree area was making it hard for grass to grow, we installed a border and mulch beds around the trees.
This allowed for easier upkeep in an area that was hard for grass to grow.
Smart Stop Landscape Install
The owner of this gas station wanted an update on his landscaping and something that was easier to care for. The grassy strip that was previously there was inconvenient to mow and care for.
First we prepared the area, making sure the ground was level. Then we installed a landscaping barrier to prevent weeds from popping up. Plants were incorporated into the area and rock was laid on top of the weed barrier.
This was done on two sides of the driving areas to give a more cohesive look.
Rock and Edging Install
The owner wanted an updated look for the front of their home. We noticed that the bushes were overgrown and hard to trim when we arrived. The old bushes were removed from the front of the home and the area was prepped.

The client wanted their backyard redone by incorporating a better seating area and an updated look. We added a paver patio outside of their home to accommodate seating and grilling. A short retaining wall was incorporated around the yard’s borders and in the middle of the yard. This will offer the homeowner a flat lawn versus a lawn that would slope into their home.
A walkway of flagstone and gravel was added from their garage to their home. Paver steps were added in the middle to accommodate the levels in their yard. When the pavers and retaining walls were finished, sod was placed throughout the yard.

We added a rock border and lighting around the walkway leading to the house.
Then we incorporated a retaining wall with plants and a rock bed around the entire home.
The use of rock made the upkeep easier to maintain for the homeowner.
St Paul, MN - Boulder Wall
The previous boulders were on a slope with dying plants and smaller rock that kept sliding into the parking lot.
We tore out all the previous plants and rock and decided to make two flat areas. This would prevent rocks and plants from sliding into the parking lot, and be more aesthetically pleasing.
The boulders were put back in along with new boulders. Plants were added to create symmetry and smaller rock was added in between the plants.
Gendron Landscaping
Our client had a side lot that lacked dimension and personality. They wanted to incorporate a decorative landscape area to remedy this.
We laid out a landscaping border and barrier and added mature trees. Rock was added around the area to give an almost maintenance free look.
To add more dimension, we included boulders, plants, lighting, and a small fencing area for seasonal plants to be added each year.
Large Irrigation Install
An apartment complex needed an irrigation system for more ease in their lawn maintenance.
Trenches were dug throughout their lawn and irrigation pipes were installed.
Zones were added to make sure all the grass was being watered correctly, and sensors were tested to make sure the lawn was only watered when needed.
